Hello from UGANDA!!!

Hello,
I am in Uganda now.
As I noted before, I came to Uganda as a volunteer.
I will work for children with disabilities.

So this is " Hello from Uganda."

On 20th of June 2007, I left from Japan.
This is the last Mt. Fuji that I can see for following two years.

Then, we( 11people go to Uganda as volunteers) transitied at Dobai airport, and arrived to Entebe airport of Uganda, via Ethiopia.

Things what we had been welcomed were noisy, busy and dusty capital city, Kampala,

and mountains of banana,

and dry red soil.

Hello.

This is the last night in Japan for me, at this time of tomorrow, I will be at Kansai airport.

I am still busy for packing, tidy up my room and make a file for a lot of paper work.

My baggage is alreday over weight.
I might have to pay for extra fee, around 400 dollars tomorrow.
I am nervus.
I have a lot of things to do tonight.

Anyway, my next blog will be " Hello from Uganda".

Hello.
I have been keeping lazy since I came back from Nihonmatsu training center.
I was surprized when I realized that I would leave for Uganda just the day after tomorrow !!!
Then, I looked around my room.
I didn't packed anything yet, a lot of daily things which I bought were here and there.

Can I prepare for my travel to Uganda ?
It is just 20kg for cecked luggage and 7kg for hand-carry, can I pack everything for two years within 27kg?

I am nervus now.

Hello.
I will spend 7more days in Japan and leave for Uganda.
I meet and say good-bye to my friends everyday.

Yesterday, I met my colleague and my trainee in former job.
The trainee graduated from regular high school and IQ was not so bad.
But he had some kind of trauma and fit , because of these things, it was difficult for him to get job.
He looked just normal guy at that time.
But yesterday, he put weight, smell bad, shirt was wrinkled, hair was long and unkempt.
Especially, a head gear made him look real disabled.
I was shocked because his condition was much worse than before.

He is in middle 30's already.
He doesn't have any hobby, enjoyable things in his life.

I worry about his future.
I am wondering if he will get better while I am away from Japan.

Many people around me worry about my life in Africa.
I also worry about some people's life.

Hello.
I am busy to meet with my friends everyday.

Today, I meant to go to meet with my friends in Yamanashi, but it was canceled.
Then, I met my friend in my hometown.

While I talked to my friend, I was feeling something different.
My position now is unclear, I don't belong to anywhere, I won't be in Japan 10days later and I can't share this feeling with anybody.

I remember the song of The Beatles, "Nowhereman", I feel like that.

Trainings

Hello.
I haven't written this blog for long time, almost three months!

I moved to have trainings in Nihonmatsu city in Fukushima, on 4th of April.
It is about two hours from Tokyo by bullet train.
I have had trainings for JOCV( stands for Japan Overseas Cooperation volunteers) for 65days.
Yesterday, I've finished the trainings and came back home.
For 65days, I had a lot of experiences, for better or worse.
I am the elderst trainee, because there is a limited age for being the volunteer.
I am enrgetic and healty enough, so I didn't worry about anything about physical things.
The problem is a gap about way to think, between my age and fresh graduates.
So in this meanings, frankly speaking, I had a lot of unpleasant experiences.

But I could have good friends anyway.
Especially, English class mates and the instructor were very nice.
I was happy with them.

On 20th of June, I am going to leave for Uganda.

I am going to work for kids with disabilities at elementaly school.
I hope that I can have a lot of friends there.

I haven't posted any news for long time.

I decided to go to Uganda, and I am busy to prepare for
the moving.

I have to move my furniture and cleaning up my room
by 28th of this month.

So I brought some furniture to my friend's place this weekehd.

I have to give my car to another friend.

Hello,

I decided to go to Uganda as a volunteer.
In April, I move to the training center and take a lot of training for living in the developping country.
According to the document, my working place, primary school which is 250 km away from capital city Kampara, has telephone, but not electricity either water service.

I am going to work as a special education teacher there.

I will post on this blog as much as I can until June.

Then, I will make a new start, " Hello from Uganda".

Murder in Japan

Hello.

There was a very shocking murder in Japan.
A 21-year-old man killed his younger sister and dismembered her body in 10 pieces, using a cooking knife and a saw.

His father is a dentist and his elder brother is a medical student.
He failed entrance exam for dental university twice, and he has went cram school.

His sister was a college student and also worked as an actor.
She said to him,"having no dream, no bright future".
Then he was mad and beat her.

Police said, her body had remains of beating, strangling and sinking in water.

After murder, he left for the study camp and he talked to his father not to worry that the cause for the bad smell was a dead fish which he kept.

It is unbelievable case.

Peaceful and safe Japan is now collapsing.

Happy New Year!

I am still in Yamanashi.

Three climber had accidents on Mt.Fuji, one of them slipped down for 1500m on ice and unfortunatelly died on new year day.

We have had a lot of earthquake in island of Tokyo these days.
I am afraid that the big one comes to attack Kanto area.

This is the last day of 2006.

I came to my friend's place in Yamanashi.
You can see Mt.Fuji from around here, even from a supermarket car parking.

Mt.Fuji is a symbol of Japan, also we think about it as something good,happy and peace.

We had a lot of bad sad news in Japan this year.

I hope that we get back our beautiful and warm traditional heart as Japanese in 2007.

I would like to hear only happy news.

Japanese teacher

Hello.

A couple week ago, I've got a call from a man who merried to Chinese woman.
He asked me to teach Japanese language to their son.

I didn't ask details because it is family affair.
I guess that the Japanese man got married to the Chinese woman by arranged marriege or something.
She came to Japan two months ago by herself, then now her son,fourteen years old, who was born between her and her exhusband, came to live in Japan.

I have Japanese language teacher's license and I posted my carreer on the bulletin board of internet.
He was looking for Japanese teacher and found me.

I met them and dicided to teach three days a week, at their plalce.
Then, I went to the library and make teaching curriculums and materials.
I prepared everything as much as I could.
It took me for long hours.

First day, I taught him Japanese greetings and some basic nowns useng pictures.
He didn't show me his motivation.
He seemed not to feel the neccesity for learning Japanese yet.

But any way, I did my best, and tired.

The following day, I received a call from the father, he said that they wanted to cansel the lesson.
I guess that the son didn't want to learn Japanese yet.

It is O.K with me.
I want to teach and do my best for the person who learn hard.

Things is, they should have thought more carefully.
Then, I didn't have to waste of my time.

Today, I went to the station for the repayment of coupon tickets , I was to have to use it for the lessons.

It was beautiful chilly day.

Begining of December

Hello.

It is the start of the last month today.
It was beautiful sunny day, and I was off.

In the morning, I went to have a breast cancer check.
We have several medical checks by public health center for free.
People say, Mammogram test is so painful, so I was scared.
But it was not so painful.

In the afternoon, I visited my friend's place.
Her son called me "papa", when I went into the room.
We chatted having snack for two hours.

Then, in the evening, I went to my parents place to install some softs for the new years cards.
My mother is seventy now, trying to use PC but it seems to be difficult for her.

On my way home, the town was in the colour of Christmas.

Work worth doing

I haven't updated this blog because I've been busy and tired from my new job.

Yes, I started to work for the disabled again.
It is just the same job as former one, the former is "National institute of vocational rehabilitation", this time, it is "prefectural".

But the details of the work is quite different, against my expectation.
I don't feel it is the work worth doing this time.

I work with five workers, they are good persons and good team work.
But I feel that they are pretending it.
I feel uncomfortable, somehow.

Anyway, I have to work there from 8:45am to 5:00pm, until March at least.

I have to work for myself.

Life doesn't go well.

I went to have 15km walk in my prefecture, last week.

I think that I need to know about my prefecture.

I like this kind of peaceful time.

Hello.

I often went to look for a job to the enployment security office.
But always I just checked the computer and didn't ask to apply for job.
Because I hadn't decided yet what I would do.

Today, I applied for two jobs, for the disabled.
I am going to have the interview tomorrow, and next week.

I watched the TV programm on Monday.
It was about a guy with muscular distrophy.
He lost his twin brother three years ago by same desease.
Both of them are painters.
His brother refused to have operation for respirator, because he would have lost his voice if he had had it, then he died after he finised to paint his art.

Now, Masashi have repirator and heart pacer, to be alive for his paintings.
He wants to make people happy, to give gentle feeling.
So he draws pictures everyday, although he has not enough energy in his arm.

Then, I felt that I have to work for somebody.
I am not doing anything good for these days.
It is not for money but for something as a healthy person.

That's why, I took an action today.

Mountain in Japan

Hello.

I went to climb Mountains yesterday.

The weather focus of the day before yesterday said that it was very sunny day, so I decided that I went out for that.

I got up 4:40am!!!
It was beautiful morning glow.

I got on the JR to Shinjuku, then changed to Odakyu line, got to Hadano, caught the bus which is only one in a day to go there.

It was soooooo beautiful day as the weather focus said.

I saw deers, a squirrel, a pit viper and several birds.

If you love nature, you will enjoy the mountains in Japan very mucn, I promise.

Hello.

It was blue skay again, today.

So, I decided to go out by Mountain Bike.

I went around my elementary and junior high school.

Then I found a shell mound near the junior high school.
I didn't know about it when I was a student.

I tried to find a house which I used to go to have piano lessons.
But the place has been changed very much, I couldn't make it.
And also the streets , houses and shops on the way to the school have changed very much.

Still, I felt them nostalgic.

Hello,

I had Boxing practice today as usuall.

Most of Saturdays, I have the practice in the morning, go to the library and shopping on the way back home, take a shower, have late lunch, then read a book or watch a dvd.

I feel that it is very luxurious time.

However, I decided to go out for cycling because today was so sunny and beautiful day, after hevy rain and strong wind.

It is real blue sky.
All dust in air might have been flushed out.

I like strolling somewhere I don't know.

I didn't know there is such a beautiful place just twenty minuts from my place.

Just a couple of days in a week, I am so active.
Rest of week, I just stay still at home, don't go out of the front door even by one step.

I need an exercise everyday, I know.

Refreshment

Hello.

I went to a mountain to have a refreshment yesterday.

It took three hours from here by train.
The name of mountain is Mitake-san, in Okutama.
Okutama area is in Tokyo, do you believe?

Almost of all foreign people only know Shinjuku, Shibuya, Akihabara, as Tokyo.
But Tokyo has this kind of mountains area, I recommend you to visit there, if you have a chance to come to Japan.

I started to walk up to the top 9:30am., came back to the bottom 6:00pm.

When I started to walk, it drizzled.
I felt it was fantastic.

The weater was getting better.

There is a Shrine on the top of the maountain.

Forty minutes walk from the top, there is "Rock Garden".
Many strainge shape rocks are there.

Ayahiro no Taki, Ayahiro water falls.
I felt that the place was very sacred.

The stump that withers almost, is covered with moss, on that, some plant is growing up, and flowers are in blossom.

Small mushrooms are lining up, like Hayao Miyazaki's animated catoon.

I can see this that a man is clining to the body of tree, don't you think so?

I had a good refreshment.

Hello.

This morning, I had a bad dream.
A stranger who is an old man is chasing me, I was desperately pedaling the bicycle and he was runnning.
But he runs very fast, almost catches me.
And he is runnning while sprinkling water to me.

After I got up, I checked the meaning of this dream on the internet.
The dream diagnosis says ,
"escape from something" means that I am worried something in the real world.
"stranger" means that he would be ideal man if it is opposit sex.
"water" means that I am mentally steady.

Whichi is, I have some worry, my type is old fast runner, then I am stable mentally..... Not make a sense.

Then, I also tried the past life fortune-telling.
The first one says, I was a "NINJA", so I am still interested in back part in world and special experience.
The second one says, I was a Pirate's captain. I sank in the sea with the pirate.
The third one says, I was a koala bear. I fell down of tree and was picked up by Aborigene. Then I had happy life with them.

Then, I did some chore, and went out for walk.
Because the weather focus says that the weather will be getting worse from tomorrow, it is the last sunny day in 4-5 days from today.
I walked with pedometer, it indecated 11083 steps at the end.

Hello.

It was so beautiful Autumn day today.

I got up before 7:00am today, although I sleep until midday these days.
Then I went to put my garvage at the place,(Monday, Wednesday, Friday is for burnable garvage. You have to use the big vinyl bag which is decided in this city, and put it by 8:00am) did washing my clothes, swept rooms.

Even I did those things, I had plenty time.
Then I sent some mails to my friends, and watched DVD (ER).

In the afternoon, I went to have volley ball practice.

It was good day for me today.

And maybe, it was good day for Mr.Abe, our new prime minister.

I just worried about Thailand.
I have been thinking that Thailand was peaceful and kind country.
I am going to keep watching their situation there.

The letter

Hello.

When I came back home from my volleyball practice, I found a letter in my post.

It is from a mother who has a child with severe desease.
She stayed at our facilities which is for the family and their kids with desease, while I was working there.
Then we were good friends.

She wrote that her son was getting better.
I am very pleased.
He's got a kind of cancer, the treatment method has not been found yet.
She, her husband and sisters were tryng a lot of treatments which were studied by themselves, but doctors.

One of those treatments was good to the son.

She reported it to me.

I had a good friendship with a couple of mothers.
After I quit the job, I wanted to keep in touch with them.
But my boss and senior workers didn't like those kind of things, they worry about handling of individual information and private relationship.

So I haven't make a contact with them, though I wanted to do it, and maybe the mothers expected it.

I am really happy with this letter, she didn't forget me.

I have never forgetten them and their kids, but I haven't done nothing for them.
If I only think of something good for somebody and don't make any action, it would be the same as doing nothing.
And they might feel that I 've forgetten them.

I should make an action.
It is important.

Hello.

I finished reading a book.
It is essay about insomnia.
Furtermore, the author got hyperlibemia because of insomnia.

He analyzed his own condition and made a program for diversion.
He believes that the deversion of mind is effective for lowering his cholestrol.

- watching all videos of Issei Ogata who plays a lot of rolls by himself( take 13hours)
-concentrating on the breath
-having yogurt
-having exercises before sleeping
-get massage machine
-paying attention to the objedt when he sees something
etc,etc....

Then, I am influenced easily.

Doing something good for me contnuously everyday, is important.
But if I do something all day, it would become unforgettable day.

Thus, I decided that today was my art day.
I did , playing piano, sketching, reading a book from this morning.

I supposed to do playing ukulele, caligraphy and arrangement of photograph, but I didn't have enough time to do that.

Hello.

Today was not good day for me.

I went to have volleyball practice in the afternoon.
The time to start practice is 1:00pm usually.
But other members had chat about new uniform, and did not bigin the practice at the usual time.
Then, even though we started, they were lazy to practice.
One member was absent from today's practice, they wanted me to join the team practice.
Actually, I don't belong to this team, just help them.
So I was unpleasant about that.

After volleyball, I went to the bank to transfer.
But the ATM stopped during my transfer, my cash card, transfer card and banknote were still in the machine.
I called the service center, and a man came to check the machine.
I had to wait for long time, and I have to go back to the bank to get the new banknote tomorrow.

Then, I came back home and grilled a fish.
I turned on the ventilator, but it wasn't work.
Maybe, something wrong with the motor.
I have to go to the real estate agent to report this tomorrow.

Hello.

I came back home yesterday by express bus.
Now, I can spend my time for reading books.

After I finished reading a book which is the novel about a Combodian boy, I went to donate blood.
It is my monthly event.
Then, I went to the library, and I found the name of the insect.
The insect which is blue with black dots, I took the photo at camping site, is RURIBOSHIKAMIKIRI in Japanese.(Rosalia bateshi Harold in Scientific name)

School holidays finish soon, so it will be quiet in the library again.

Hello,

On Thursday, I went back home in my car, it took for seven hours...
Then, spent two night at my place, I came back to the camping place again.
This weekend is very sunny day, and many people came to enjoy camping, that's why I called to help again.

Actually, I had a boxing exercises in this morning.
After that, I rushed to get on the train to Shinjuku and cathed the bus to Kawaguchiko.

Hello.

We have cool rainy days again, here in Japan because of tyhoons.

So I just stay at home and watch DVD "ER", which I got at yahoo auction.

My favorite charactor is Carol Hathaway and John Carter.

Carol is very hard work woman, the other hand, she is beautiful and attractive.
At the last of 2nd season, she was angry with doctors who couldn't do right things for the patients, then shouted " I quit!!"

And also she decided to say good-bye to her boyfriend who couldn't admit his weakness.

She is strong person.
I respect her.

If she were exist in this real world, I would make friends with her.

Toda, it is also raining.
I will watch the dvd.

Hello.

Today, we had a real summer day, hot and sunny.
I went to the library by bicycle.
I needed to finish writing the draft for my homepage.

We have a nice big library in this town, air conditioner works very well, desk and chair there is comfortable , clean and good for writing work.

Then I walked down to the park which was near the library, to have lunch.
The pond is there, a lot of people were having a rest .

I sat down on the bench, had a lunch.
The breeze was blowing, sound of cicada, children's voice from the pool nearby.

I felt real summer.

The symbol of Japan's summer is,
sunflower, cicada, gigantic cloud, morning-glory, straw hat, summer festival, fireworks.......

What makes you feel the summer in your country?

July nearly finishes.

Usually, July and August are summer season in Japan, we should have strong sunshine, but this year we are still in rainy season.

Birthday presents for my friend

After work, I went to buy birthday presents for
my friend.

It was difficult for me to decide what to buy.
I thought....
pendant, yes, it is good for mature woman.
But no wit.
bag, I liked that vivid color, but maybe she
has differrent taste from me.
aromatherapy goods, she looks tired.
But it might be troublesome for her.
alarmclock, hope to give comfortable awake.

Then, finally I choose cool down goods.
Foot care and eye mask with cool gel, splay that
instaneously becomes minus 40C , because she
is sensitive heat and sweaty very very much.

I hope that these ones are useful for her.

Anyway, it is fun to give some presents for somebody but it is difficult to choose.

Dramas in the Soccer

Hello.

Yesterday, I watched special program about FIFA Wcup.
Hide Nakata who decided to retire from professional soccer was analyzing the game.

Hide analyzed it exactly, calmly and professionally.

Tonight, we had a program , Miyamoto who was the captain of the team analyzed it as well.

He has been the captain since he was young.
He is the person who become the leader any occasion.

He is gentle and kind , thinks about other team mates.
But he doesn't demand severity from others because of his gentleness.

In contrast, Hide pursues the severity to himself and others.

I guess that Miyamoto's gentleness might be the reason of weakness for the team, when they have games with veteran in the world.

If Nakata and Miyamoto had trusted and understood each other , and had led the team together just like a gentle mother and severe father, the team might have been better, I think.

But Hide decided to retire.
Hide and Miyamoto will never play on the same ground.

Hide talked in the program that he wanted to know and travel in the world.

I don't know where he is now.

Anyway, including the issue of Zidane's head butt , there were a lot of dramas in this FIFA Wcup.

Today's sunset

Hello.

I went to have an interview for the overseas volunteers today.
I used to be that one.

It was so hot in Tokyo today.
But we save the power for Global warming issue these day.
So in the building was sooooooooo hot and uncomfortable.

We had to have medical check, dental check, personal interview, group interview and measuring size for uniform.
It took from 9am to 5pm to do everything.

I have done everything and exhausted, but good news was waiting for me at home.

One of my friend made a successful bid of DVD "ER" the other day, at yahoo auction for me.
But it was just like a swindle.
Since he made a bid, four weeks has passed.
So he made a report to Yahoo, and we almost gave it up.

Now, the DVD is at my hand at last.

I am very happy now.

These days, I always forget to take a photo for this blog, even to take my digital camera with me.

But I have to think why I started this blog.
Yes, I wanted to know many people's life in the world, and also I wanted to show a life in Japan.

That rides very smoothly and comfortable.

Hello.

I read a book , written by Ishida Ira, Japanese famous novelist.
It was essay.

He wrote,
"...... even if I expect the next ten years, I will not be right. Nobody will tell it right. So we can just live our own life vividly at the moment now.
........We are neither the winners, nor the loosers. We have to make our own lives by ourselves."

A lot of people around me, especially my parents, ask me,
"What do you think about your future?"
"Who look you after when you get old?"
"You have to settle down or you drop out of the society."

Because I'm still single in the middle age, I don't have a steady job. Yes, I know.

But.....
Nobody can guess what happen to us ten years later.

I don't think that it is good for me to worry about the future and to save something I want to do now.

If ballistic missile Taepo Dong gets us , The rich, the poor, the honest, the lier, the winners and the loosers, everybody will be gone in a second.

I think that I had better not save my power, spirit, love, kindness, etc...

I do what I want to do.
I go where I want to go.

The things is, if the world keeps going same as now it is, I will be in trouble as my parents told me.

These days, we have a lot of bad news in Japan.

The mother who lost her daughter in an accident of river, killed her neighbour's son.

The boy set fire his house, then his mother , little brother and sister died.
He was afraid of his father who was a doctor, he also respected his father.
He was tired that he had been performing good son.

There was university student's group assault, then two boys were buried alive, and they died.

We need good news now.

Hello.

Yesterday, I drove to the town where I stayed and worked at the inn, when I was an university student.
That is very small town, which has small beach and fishing port.

When I was a student, this town was very lively in summer.
Family and young people came from city and the beach was covered with those people who were lying and sunbathing.

As the recession advanced, tourists decreased, then the town lost vigor.

Some inn and hotel were closed.

I went to see the owner of the inn that I worked at.
She is over 80 years old now.
She is fine although she has pain in her legs and has high blood pressure.

She talked to me about some news around her, the old fisher man who was her neighbour died because of the boat accident in March, she has 7 or 8 cat now, she had some money troule with relatives, etc...

She will have only a couple of guests in this summer , she is tired.

I miss those my young days there.

It is very lovely place.
but I forgot to take my degital camera with me....

Hello.

Yes, I got up at 4:00am this morning.
Then, watched the soccor game, Japan vs Brazil.
The pass from Santos and Tamada's shot were wonderful.

But I had a premonition of failure in loss time.
It was just one minute.
If Japan had overcome the offence of Brazil for one minute and kept one point lead, they might have won the game.

The most impressive sceine for me is that Hide Nakata was lying on the playingground and enduring mortifying of the defeat after the game.

He is always cool and doesn't show his emotion to other people.
But today, he was just like a child.

He might retire.

I think that it was good game, even Japan lost, even I was so sleepy during the day.

I have been away from my blog, just because of my neglect.

I resigned from my night time job.

Hello.

Yesterday, I and my friend were talking for seven hours at a restaurant.

She wanted to take days off and go on a trip in July.
But she didn't know that she had an important meeting in July, just the day she wanted to be off.
Now, she knew that, and was disappointed.

She was planning of going to Shikoku.
I used to go there for river kayakking.
So I told her about that place, how beautiful, how heartful.

Then, I scanned some pictures I took there.

Hello.

I applied for a volunteer.
I used to be worked as a volunteer in Samoa for three years.

Now, I don't know what I want to do.
I have several choice, Japanese language teacher, worker for the disabled, clerk, etc.... , in Japan.

But I feel that I have no place to settle down around here.
I don't have any bad things for now, if anything, I am happy.
However, I do not enhance somehow.

Then, I applied for it.

If it is not right way for me, I would be failed the exam.

Hello.

As I wrote, I have had unpleasant things for these days.

Yesterday morning, I had a bad deam, woke up, it was raining, I have been absent from boxing practices, then I didn't want to go to boxing practice.

But I didn't want to be lazy.
I drove and arrive to the Gym.

I could have very hard exercises with new coach, it was enhanced.
It was the most valuable and enjoyable exercises that I have had so far.

I was exhausted after that.

I took a shower after I came back home, I was refreshed.

I almost forgot those unpleasant things, and I could have another view of the point.

That exercise was very good mentally and physically.

Hello.

I am going to discribe my complain, today.

For these days, I feel that I am not treated fairly and many people around me just use me as they like.

At first, about volley ball club----
I have practices with the volleyball club team but I am not a team player for league game.
A few days ago, the team leaderasked me to join and help them because they didn't have enough player for the next league game.

I have thougt for a while because I have something to do on that day.
But they are in trouble now, I decided to help them.

Then, Iwas told that my position was a setter.
I couldn't believe that.
Setter is the most important and difficult position.
Nobody in the team couldn't do that , didn't want to do that, then they asked me.

But once we started practises, they just make complain and it was not enjoyable atmosphere.

I just decided that I will do my best and enjoy by myself however they make terrible atmosphere.

Next, my boss---

As I wrote before, I am going to quit my job at the end of this month.
My boss informed it by only one e-mail, then I agreed with that .

Yesterday, the boss sent emails " about n-k's resignation" to all staff.
She wrote, " Thanks for working and wish n-k's nice future ,etc....."
There is three weeks to go.
And everybody knows that already.
What is the meaning of the email?
I don't understand and feel just annoying.

Another thing---
I asked to help laboratory of university near my place, last Autumn.
My friend of friend( I don't know her) is working there.
I went to work for them 3-4times.
One day, she said that they left laboratory for Academic symposium and would let me know by email when she needed my help.

Then, I have had no email from her for six months.

A few days ago, she sent an email to me, asked me to help her again.
So I went to help her without complain but she seemed to feel neither thanks nor apology to me.

She just try to use me as she like.

At last, the facility for the mental disease people.
They are in serious situation economically, then, I offered that I could give a prenty of invalid food from our office.
They were happy with that.
I offered again, we could give some cooking oil.

But they haven't replied until now.
It's so rude.

I think that my previous life was a kind of convenient person.

(what do you call in English, the person who works for whatever he is asked? eg: exercise for dog, go shopping food, weeding in a somebody's place, etc...)

Hello.

I came back from Yamanashi to Tokyo
by express bus, today.

There was no traffic jam so I could arrive
to Tokyo staion about 2:00pm.

I had three hours to go to work.

I was thinking that I went to visit Hibiya Park,
but on the way to go there, I saw that a lot of
people were having a rest under the tree.

It looked so feel good.

Then I joined them.

Taking a nap outside is my favorite habit.

I had a good time before 24 hours working

Hello.

It was beautiful day today.
Our camping site starts reception
8:00am, but more than 40 groups
were waiting for reception from
early morning.

We had about 100 groups campers.
I had to explain where garbage should
be left, where is toilet and shower room,
what time we open and closed, etc...

They enjoy their holiday, I am busy
for them.

A lot of campers come with dogs.

This is the trailer house which I stayed

until last night.

But today, we had guests here as well

and I had to move.

Hello.

I am working night shift now.

I came to work from Yamanashi ( Mt. Fuji is there) today.

I took the express bus and arrived early afternoon.
Then I had three hours to go to work.

I was thinking of going to watch some movie.
But I couldn't find good movie around Tokyo station which the bus arrived, and also it was so beautiful sunny day.

I found a good place to spend sunny afternoon, Kokyo.

It is the place our Japanese emperor and
family are living, imperial palace.

I walked there from Tokyo station.

Kokyo is enclosed with the moat,and people
can't go inside.
Everywhere, policeman and imperial guardman
are standing and watching.

I just strolled there.

It is tourist spot and many forigners were there.

People were taking photos, jogging,
taking video of their baby, having exercises etc....

Everybody enjoyed beautiful sunny afternoon

Hello.

I received an email from my boss.
It says that my contract will be finished at the end of May.

Actually, we didn't make a contract formally.

Usually, the boss comes to talk to workers directly, even about small things.
But this time, she just sent an email, didn't say anything to me directly.
Her attitude toward me irritates me every time.

Anyway, I don't want to keep working for this organization.
So I agreed and signed on the paper.

I have to find another job for myself, but before that, I would like to travel somewhere( maybe, south-east asia).

Hello.

I went to climb a mountain last week.
It's since last Autumn.

The village at the bottom of the mountain was coverd with a lot of spring flowers. ( though, that place is in Tokyo. Can you believe that?)
I met an old lady on the way to the mountain.
She spoke slowly and friendly.
" Are you going up there? Have a nice day."

If it is in busy city, nobody would talk to strangers, even greetings.

Actually, I chose "hills" for this time, not "mountains".

But it was not easy way.

I walked slowly to take photos, have great view, sometimes had a rest.

The weather was getting better in the afternoon.

Yes,I could have a nice day.

I went to see the drum festival on Saturday.
It is held only once in a year.

I had trial work yesterday and today.

Today, we went to a park to see the cherry blossoms, then,went to the temple which is famous for the movie.

We had a very relax and slow time there.
I remembered the time when I worked for the people with mental disabilities.
I used to take them for a stroll.

I don't know if I work for this place.

Anyway, I reconfirmed that I like people with disabilities and I need the time with the disabled.

It was very sunny and windy day today.

In the morning, I did household chore.
My room had been messy with winter clothes.
I tidied them up and vacumed the room.

Then, my feeling was refleshed now.

Now, I am working on the night shift.

This week, I am going to be busy.
Tomorrow, after my work, I will go to the job agent for search another job, and go to see Korean movie.
On Wednesday, I have to have a trial work at the insitute for people with mental desease.
Thursday, same as Wednesday, after trial work, I have to work on the night shift.
Friday, after working, I have an appointent of dentist.

Last night, I watched TV until 3:00am.

It was a program about previous life, the title is "Fountain of Aura".
Everytime, they have a guest and a spiritual counsellor tells about its previous life and reincarnation, gives messages from protecion soul.

Last night guset was a K-1 ( integrated wrestling) player, Genki Sudoh.

He is interested in Spieitual world, doing meditation and watch inside of himself every morning and night.

He found that he used to be a St.Sebastian who was a soldier of imperial guards.

We call April a new season in Japan.

In our country, new fiscal year is started in April.
So April is new season for new employee, new student and everybody.

March is called as a season for "Good-bye".
Students guraduate from school and make a new step for their own future in this month.
Company does the closing of accounts of the year in March.

We have "good-bye"and "hello" seasons in these two months.

Then, cherry blossoms help these emotional situation.

It is a special season for Japanese people, I think.

I don't have any new event for myself in this season.
I have to move for something.

Lucky would not come to me if I just stay and wait here.

I went to donate blood again.

During waiting my turn, I read a magazine, "BE=PAL" is for the people who like outdoor life.
I used to have read it everymonth,when I was a cvil servant.
And I used to have done kayakking in river.

As I kept reading, I found an article.
It was that an aged conoeist did conoeing again the river that he had been visited before.
He is a very famous conoeist and going around almost of all rivers in Japan.

This time, he visited "Shimanto river"in Shikoku Island.
Shimanto is called as the last clear water river of Japan.

I used to have visited and did kayakking there as well.
So I felt nostalgic feelings as I found the article.

There is a B&B in the village in middle reaches in the river.
It is only one accomodation around there so whenever I did kayakking in this river,I stayed .

The aged canoeist visited this B&B this time as well.
Then he remember the scene when he visited there before.

He visited there during summer vacation.
The wife of the owner was cooking, her daughter was doing her homework.
The mother called her,
" You don't have to do that. Even you try to do it, it will take until wintervacation."

Then, the mother said to the conoeist.

" Growing up healthy is the most important thing for my kids. I don't care about the mark of the examination."

He agreed with her.

The mother is not from this village.

She grew up in a city near Tokyo.

She had not known about this river and she had not been interested in nature.

One day, the mother's friend invited her to conoe touring.

The friend had been to this river and village by herself for manytimes.

The mother visited this place first time, she was surprised with the differrances between the village and city.

She thought that she wanted to stay here longer.

Then, a guy, who is her husband now, presented in front of her at good timing.

She married to him and now she has three kids.

The article said like that.

I saw the picture of her family.

Herself, three kids, husband,mother and father in law.

Happy family in the village.

I AM the friend who invited her to the river.

Actually, I didn't invited her.

I used to have visited there by myself.

The second night there, we met local young people.

They were very kind and cheerful.

So we got to become like old friends in short time.

We went out to the riverside, singing, chatting,looking at the stars....

It was so beautiful night.

I could have a lot of good friends here.

I thought like that.

But for her, she lacked of moral of sex.

Mito kairakuen

Hello.

I went to see the ume ( Japanese apricot ) blossom.
The name of the place is Mito Kairakuen in Ibaraki prefecture.
It is one of the three historically-noted gardens in Japan.

It is just two hours from Tokyo station by express bus.

But getting there, it was so long way for me.

On Saturday morning, I went to have boxing practices as usual,then went to the library to return books.
After that, I went back home ,had late lunch, prepared for my night shift and left for my job.

I worked at the branch until Sunday morning, then moved to another branch and worked there during the day.(which means 24hours shift !!!)

Finally, I finished my long shift and towarded to Tokyo station.
I met my friend there who is the owner of a camping site .
He lives in the bottom of Mt. Fuji, but always comes to drink in Tokyo.
This time , he came to drink in Tokyo a coulple of days ago as usual.
I have been working for 24 hours.
I wished that he had bought something eat on the bus for us.
( around Tokyo st, there are a lot of delicious food shops for take- out , you know?)
Just wished.
Of course, he didn't.

We got some sandwich at the convinience store.
Then rushed onto the bus.

Just two hours driving( two hours sleeping time for me, of course) took us to the Mito station.
There, it was freezing.

Another my friend came to pick us up.
He lives in Tokyo but is staying and selling tombs in Mito now.

We went to have a dinner at the Korean rotisserie where tomb salesman recommended.

This restaurant uses pork, not beef, then uses special rock plate , not iron one.

Meet , kimch, vegitable and crab, everthing is delicious.
I , tomb salesman and drunken owner were completely satisfied.

The following day, it was sunny chilly day.
Tomb salesman went to work at the temple with hangover.
I and drunken owner went to see the ume.

Ume blossoms were very beautiful.
I wanted to see them as long as possible but drunken owner had loose bowels because of too much drink last night.
He often rushed into toilet...

Kairakuen was built by Nariaki Tokugawa(1800-1860),the ninth Lord of Mito.
The name of the garden "Kairaku"means "to share pleasure with people", and the garden was opened to the vassals of the Mito Clan and all people of Mito for their recreation and enjoyment.

Nariaki, who pondered over the idea of designing the garden by himself,decided upon the place and structure of Kobuntei, and started consturuction in 1841.
The mainpart of the garden was completed the next year.

From the garden, the pastoral landscape of japan can be enjoyed.
The garden is in harmony with the surrounding natural beauty, and in each season the garden has a refined and edlegant atmosphere.

More than three thousand ume trees have been planted in Kairakuen, and in early spring many people enjoy their flowers and fragrance. ( from the pamphlet)

I enjoyed seeing beautiful ume blossoms.
But I don't know if drunken owner enjoyed himself.

I believe that the tomb salesman just suffered from hangover and we were big trouble for him.

Hello.

I was supporsed to have a job interview today.

A couple of days ago, I called the person who is in charge of the job interview and made sure where and when I should go.
She said that I should go to the office 2:00 pm today.
But her way to talk was a little bit strange and childish,so I was worried if I could go along with her during working.

Then, yesterday morning, which means just one day before the interview day, another lady called me and said, I didn't have to go to the interview because I failed the document examination.

I was shocked.
What was happened?
It is so funny.

But now, I believe that I couldn't get along with those workers even if I passed and worked for the office.
Yes, maybe this is the right result for me.

I will find the best place to work for myself.
Someday, somehow.

Hello.

After my work today, I wanted to walk for my exercises.
I walked for four stations instead of taking trains.

At last, I felt pain in my legs and got exhausted.

Then I came back home and had a simple dinner,
watching TV K-1 Grand prix.

The season has been changing now.
I had better go outside and feel the new season.

Hello.

It was chilly and rainy day today.
I had volleyball practices in the afternoon.
Today, my physical condition was good and I felt that my body was lighter than usual.

After the practices, I was back home and took shower.
Then I started to clean up bathroom with special sponge (inported from Germany).
It is so useful .
My bathroom became so clean at last and I am also refleshed.

I am going to clean up other part of my place tomorrow.

Hello.

It was holiday today since Saturday of the week before last.

I got up at 6:00 am and watched the figure skating of the Olmpics.
Yes, Shizuka Arakawa of Japan got the gold medal.
This is the first time for Asian to get the gold medal of the figure skating in the Olympics.

After that, I had breakfast and read a book.
Then I have been sleeping for three hours though I was going to take a nap only just a little.

In the evening,　I went to buy some food.

When there is a lot of food at my kitchen,
I am so happy.

In this mornng, I had a volleyball practices.
Volleyball and boxing are very important things for me that I want to keep doing as long as I can.

I'm getting better but still my nose's running.

In this condition, I went to the employment office to find another job the day before yesterday.

I found a job for the disabled.
I will apply for that.

The salary is not good, but the job must be challenging.

I don't know if I get the job or not.
But I don't care if my wishes can be true, there is no strong passion like when I was young in myself.

Hello,

I am working on the night shift now.

I have been talking with my boss about my shift of April .
She wanted to determine it now, but I couldn't do it .
I want to get other two jobs, one is Japanese teacher, the other is for the disabled.

If the time schedule between daytime job and night time shift can be adjusted, I will keep working for this job.

But I don't find those jobs yet.

I can't answer to my boss yet.

I said that she had better find another person to fix the shift for April.
I don't persist in this job.

I have to start another job hunting as soon as possible...

I went and listen to a lecture.
It was so impressive lecture.

The speeker was a teacher of night high school.

Nowadays, drug and teen-ager prostitution is getting to become serious social issues in Japan.
The teacher, his name is Osamu Mizutani, has been treated this issues alone.

Mizutani helped a lot of boys and girls.
The other hand, he lost 32 pupils.

Snowing

Hello.

It has been snowing today, even here in Tokyo.
The weather forcus yesterday said that it would be only 1-2cm, but it was not true.

Snowing, snowing, snowing...

Now, I am working on the night shift.
It's until 5:00pm tomorrow, 24hours!!!

I really want to go back home, then keep warm, drink hot tea, have some sweets, read my favorite book and have a cat nap...

I'm reading a book about old Chinese maxim.
They are very old , so the situation and the culture is different from them now.
Still, those maxims teach me valuable things.

" Life is just like Saiou's horse."
----- Long long time ago, very old man had a horse.
One day, the horse has gone somewhere.
The old man was so disappointed.
But before long, the horse came back with a superior horse. Then, old man's son rode the horse and fell from the horse.
He got disabilities on his legs.
When the war broke out in the country, he wasn't chosen as a soldier fortunately because of his handicapped legs.
Like this story, life has a lot of events, good things and bad things.
So you don't have to get depressed in your life.
You can't bubble over in your life.

chore on Sunday

Hello.

I went out by car and did some chore this late afternoon.

At first, I went to "BOOK-OFF" and "HARD-OFF", which is very big recycle store.
I sold my books, mainly it's text book of Law school and trade business.
I could get 1390yen in total.

Then, I wanted to sell 2 printer as well.
But I couldn't make it because they were too old to sell.

After there, I towarded another place.
Usually, it takes 15 minutes from the recycle store to the place.
But today it took 1 and a half hours !!!
There were car, car,car..... so heavy traffic jam.....

Big motor cycle show was held there but I didn't know that.

It irritated and exhausted me.
My business there was done in five minutes but I had to drive almost 2 hours.
You can't imagin how terrible the traffic jam in Japan is.

Then I went buy grocery.
I got celery,long onion, enokidake mushroom,kiwi fruits, banana chips, bean sprouts, snacks, roll cake,chocolate pie,tofu, konyaku, 1345yen in total.

Sunday's gone.
I have to work again from tomorrow.....

Waste of a day

Hello,

I wasted of my timetoday.

I had job interview for Japanese language teacher.
So last night, I wrote up the teaching plan for rehearsal lesson, and made teaching materials.
It was not easy work for me, then I finished it around 3:00am.

I spent all this morning for practice that, then left for the interview at 12:30.

My interview was started at 2:00pm but interviewer found that I am not suitable for that job for now becouse of my current job.
Because, in my job, holiday is not regularly decided.

Then, she said,
" Sorry. If your holiday had been decided, we have asked you to work for us..."
That's all.

I didn't use either my teaching plans or teaching materials, although I spent a great amount of time to make it.

After the interview, there was three hours to start night shift.
I was strolling, and filled time.

It was sunny day today.
If I had stayed at home today, I could have hung my sleeping mat to dry in the sunshine.

It was waste of time.

(I am working the night shift now....)

Coming of Age Day

Hello,

It was Coming-of -Age Day yesterday.
It is for the congratulation to become 20 years old.
I saw a lot of ladies in Japanese traditional dress, KIMONO.
Usually, they put on jeans, walk like a boy, are graceless.....
But yesterday, they were so beautiful and graceful.

Don't ask me how many years passed then.
At that time, my skin was very rough and ugly because of pimpls and eating junk food.

I don't want to loose fresh feeling in my twenties.

It is very cold here in Japan.

Tomorrow is national holiday, so it's three days off for workers.
BUT.... for me, no holiday until Wednesday.

Since I started my work, I don't have enough time for myself, to clean my room, to go shopping, to update my blog,etc...

Hello.

Today, I went to the Red cross and donated my blood.
The number of blood donor decreased in January, especially the first three days.
So I was requested to do that from the red cross.

The platelet was taken out from blood and other element of blood were returned to me.
It took about one hour.

The nurse said that I had to took off the plaster after 2hours.

Then, I took off it.

I will do blood donation as long as I can.
I thank for my health and want to share with other people who need it.

This is the third day of 2006.

Hello.

Today is the last day of 2005.

I stay at my friend's place which is the bottom of the Mt.Fuji, Saiko Lake.

In this town, you can see the Mt.Fuji from everywhere.

My friend is owner of camping site.
It faces to the lake, just bottom of the Mt Fuji.

I come here and help managing in busy season.

Time in here, I feel it is slower than usual.

I will enjoy the last day of 2005 and the first day of 2006, then go back to daily busy life.

I hope that all your and my dreams come true in the new year.

Every year I was traveling overseas on Christmas season.
This year, I worked at the office, came back home and had rest , that's all.
Today, I slept until 2:00pm, then tidy up room and watch TV.
In Japan, we have the custom cleaning up whole house at the end of the year.
So I did and I will do.

Oh, I have a good news.
I passed the Japanese educational examination.
I am a licensed japanese teacher now.
I will go overseas as a japanese teacher someday, I hope so.

It was a night shift last night.
　
I paired with an elderly　lady who gave priority to her sleep and health.
So it was easy work last night.

I have paired with 6 workers since I started to work.
Everybody has complaint with our boss and the way of working.
Obviously, number of workers for this shifts is not enough.
I really understand the situation now.

The other hand, the boss expects me to cordinate between excutive and workers.
I don't think that it is my job.
I don't make any trouble.
The trouble which is happening now is made by the boss.
I don't want to take this kind of burden made by other people.

In japanese, people say,
" You have to wipe off your ass by yourself."

December is a season of the year end party in Japan.

I had the party last night.
It was of volleyball team.

We had the party at pub until midnight.

I have a party this weekend again, and next week as well.

It was the first night shift working yesterday.
The working time is from 5:00pm to 9:00am next morning.

I worked with an elder worker who is defferent from other workers I wrote befer.

So we had chat until 3:30am, and it was interesting.
We talked about our boss who is a little bit strange and bossy, about our office which is unorganized, about some troubled at the office, etc...

Hello.

Today, my boss and other workers were talking about a mother who have a child with Autism.

They were critical to her.
They refused her.
( I can't write details due to the duty of the confidentiality.)

I understand how the mother feels an unfair.

Autistic child tends to shout whenever he/she upsets and to have a strong sticking to something.
Because of this, it is difficult for autistic child's family to go out; to restaurant, movie, shopping etc.

The mother tends to be isolate in the community.

I would like to be on the mother's side.
I have worked for them so far.

Everyone has their own sight of view.
So I didn't say any objection to other workers.
And now I am the new one for them at this office.
I just stayed there with smiling.
But maybe my eyes were not smiling.

Long　long　day

Hello,

It was a long long day yesterday.

I woke up 8am, and prepared for today's events.

Then, I took a train and bus to get Boxing Gym.
We all are just beginners, but we are progressing.
It is so exciting.
I think that boxing is very suitable for my character.

Two hours exercise, then rushed onto the trains, got
to Higashi Ginza in Tokyo, and had a lecture, which
was held by my office.

Lectures and discussions for four hours, and had to
go around to greeting.
Tidy up the lecture room, and got on the trains for one
hour back home.

Watching TV for three hours, it was a special program
about job for the disabled.

Check emails, and watch "ER" on TV.
Then I went to bed 2am.

It was a long long day.

That's why, I slept until lunch time, and didn't go out
anywhere today.

Unorganized

Yesterday, I went to Utsunomiya city which is 3 hours away from my place.
My boss asked me to go there night before last.
Then, I had to check time table of the train and the fare on the internet, woke up early morning, got on the train for three hours, worked there until 6:00pm, three hours on the train again and arrived home about 10:00pm.

I was exhausted.

Yes, this boss and other workers are very hard worker.
They don't worry about the overtime work.
And they demand it from me.

After work finish, I need time to think and do something, not about work.

As a matter of fact, there is differences about the work conditions between the document of job offer and present condition.

I like things organized.
At this office ( non-profit organization), many things are unorganized and unscheduled.

I don't like it.

I went to attend a lecture today although it was national holiday .

The speaker was an American woman.
She gave us a lecture about the total care of the child with cancer.

After her lecture, we had the time for questions and answers.
I thought that Japanese people were not good at making brief sentences which got the point.

Some people questioned about her lecture, but it was not brief, so she wasn't able to understand the point of their questions exactly.

In Japan, we study neither presention nor discussion in school.
I think that we had better do that.

I would like to be careful about making good sentences.

Autumn day

Hello.

I visited the Naritasan temple today.

It was so beautiful Autumn day.

The street to the temple, there are a lot of souvenir shops.
They have interesting things, i.e. Japanese traditional arts on socks, Kimono cloth bags, banboo ornament, etc

There is a place making special smoke of incense sticks in temples.
We believe that the smoke makes our body condition better.
My friend and I did , we hoped our health better, brain as well.

Then, we visited a small museum that was in the temple conpound.
The international child painting exhibition was held there.
There were paintings from China, Korea, Indonesia, Ingland, Holland, America, Egypt, Japan, etc
I was interested in paintings from Burma. ↓

　
Other visiters said that these pictures gave peaceful mind to them as well.

After there, we went to have late lunch and had chat chat chat.....

Then I came back home with these ↓　sweet potatos(5kg) that my friend gave me.

It was a lovely autumn day.

I've just finished watching "K-1"(integrated wrestling) final match on TV.

I expected that Remy Bonjasky( Holland) would be the champion but he was knocked down by Semmy Schilt (

Then Semmy is the champion for K-1 tournament of 2005.

Wrong Choice?

Hello.

I am wondering if I made a wrong choice of my job.

Today, I went to the office and worked with other
workers.
They are all very good people.
I didn't feel nervous today.

But I did not come harmoniously something.

I guess I am not good person, I like joke and frank talk .
That's why, I felt something strange with those good people.

I don't feel strong passion about this job now.

Maybe, I had better go back to the field of social welfare for the disabled before long.

I opened my homepage at last.
I want to write down my experiences and travel in Samoa, NewZealand, and Asia.

In Japan, woman who works, doesn't get married, have no child is called "under dog".

I seem to be that but I can't be.
I have no job now, which means I can't be even an underdog.
So sometimes I call myself "flee on an underdog" humbly.

Life as a "flea" is free, free from society, partner and family.
I enjoy it for now.

Today, I met my friends, one has an eight months baby, another has three kids.
They look so happy with their kids, but not with husband.
Oh, and of course not with their husband's mother.
They have a lot of complaints.

Husbands do nothing at home.
Washing dishes, tidy up rooms, cooking, taking care of kids and
all of chore are for wives.

Even wives have headachs, they have to work for their family.

So every time when married women get together, they talk about their complaints for their husbands each other.
For myself, I am never married.
So I 'd better have some dreams for marriage.
However, everybody around me talks to me about bad respect of marriage.

My friends call their husbands, garbage, good -for -nothing, the worst one, etc.

I don't know how marriage life is.

Anyway, it will take a long time until I settle down.

Hello.

It was beautiful sunny day today here in Japan.

I had boxing practice in this morning.
It is held by sports organization of Chiba city,
so it costs only 3000yen for 10days.

I like boxing.
I can feel as if I could be strong.
I just pretend to be a K-1 fighter.
(K-1 is very popular integrated wrestling now in Japan)

Anyway, sports is really good to me physically and mentally.

Since I was elementary school student, I have done ; swimming, table tennis, kendo(japanese martial arts), volley ball, and canoeing, etc.
These sports experiences make some parts of my personality,I believe.

In this stressful society, I would like to keep doing sports so that I can be on good condition mentally and physically.

About job

Hello.

I have no job now.
I quit my job last year.

Since I graduated from university,
I 've worked for people with disabilities.
As a care giver, social worker, teacher,
vocational rehabilitation trainer, etc.

I like this kind of job.
They are so jolly, pure and hard worker.
I teach them and I can learn something from them.

Through my last job, vocational rehabilitation,
I got to have interest in functions of brain.
Person who got brain injury have medical care
and physical rehabilitaion, then they look recovered.
But their behavior is strange sometimes.
Serious injury in forehead gives you some promlems
of emotional control.
You couled suffers from aphasia if your left Touha
is damaged.

Like this, I am interested in brain.

If possible, I would like to get a job which is related to
brain injury. I would like to study it.

But unfortunately, it is not easy way in Japan.
Going back to school at my age is not usual thing.
What is worse, there is still limitation of age for employment
in Japan.

I am going to work for NPO which is for families and child with sirious desease.
It means that I will be away from the field of the disabled,
my favorite field.

I need to work for living on.

Job for money? or job for self-esteem?

How do/did you choose your job?
What is the most important things in your life?

I am worried about this.
